Playstation 3 profile loss... like terrorism but much more newsworthy.

The news isn't actually news anymore, I can't really do this subject justice because there is already a TV programme which disects the news and current affairs in a way which I aspire to in the same way Jesus aspired to change the world and guide us on the path towards the light, if I had the means and the time...

Yup, I wish I had menopause.

Anyway I'm sure that loose women is far too highbrow to comment on this but gracing the front page of the metro was a hard hitting report about the plight of the playstation 3 users whose player profiles were deleted due a to a suspected leapyear miscalculation in Sonys databank.

The result of anger caused by 'leapyear bug'.

This story is a story very close to my heart, much in the same way it is very hard to meet someone who hasn't had a relative suffer from cancer, I watched first hand a relative waste away at the prospect of losing their player profile. In some ways it was more painful than someone suffering from cancer because at least you know what you're getting with a cancer sufferer; the lack of hair, the jaundice, the vomiting and ultimately death. Of course the side affects of someone losing their Playstation 3 online player profile is far worse than slow painfujl death, because it essentially means that all those hours of online gaming and collecting trophies gaining points on games that have been discontinued are essentially waste of time, as aposed to if they had a trophy in the form of some pixels with a number next to it. People have lost their player profiles for FIFA or Call Of Duty, which is a lot sadder than the death of a relative from cancer in many ways.

The newspapers when Pacman on the Atari 2600 was the in vogue game, looked a lot like this.

In the 80s there used to be news stories.

Terrorism is becoming so passe that it isn't even a newsworthy story now. If a terrorist attack on a similar level to september 11th occured now, it probably wouldn't even make the news now because the Nintendo Wii is out of stock an a branch of Game in Croydon pipped it to the front page.

Of course I may be being a little dramatic, the Brighton bombing was an actual big news story and it may be that there isn't much in the way of news occuring this week... or is there?

Terrorist attack kills nearly 50 people at Iraq polls. A reason the west went to war was to 'liberate' Iraqi people from the tyranny of Saddam... but we still can't stop them bombing the shit out of each other.

The effect Britains cocaine comsumption has on Latin American countries is devastating. Britain apparently consumes 30 tonnes of cocaine a year, although 15 tonnes of that was for Dodgy Daves squat party in Stockwell last friday. I shat out my septum when I finally got over the bloat.

This one brings me neatly back to the point I have been subtly trying to make...

as subtle as/I'd like to smash this into your oblivious skull in the hope of helping you regain consciousness.

A story of a Woman leaving her child to starve to death while raising a child on second life, apparently the online child was so traumatised by the death of her real life sister that she had to go into virtual care... it was in Korea though which makes it not newsworthy... although it is interesting that a computer zombie is ignoring real life as her family starves.

I would appear to have been right first time, there are massive things happening at the moment not being prioritised by the news because a Toyota has broken down on the A1 between Hatfield and Stevenage. Perhaps be trying to urge you to wake up and look around you, you are being conditioned now and are sleepwalking through life and pointing out that we are as close to Orwelian society as we have ever been, that we are part of the matrix.

Of course, I'm too busy trying to be a smart arse on a blog to actually give a shit about anything I have just written and I'm too lazy to make a stand like I'm from the film V for vendetta, or Neo from the matrix... or even Speed Racer from the film Speed Racer (people who are always on IMDB may get the link and find that funny, but they probably won't, because it isn't that funny.) So I guess we just go further down the spiral.

A cautionary tale about MethAnphetamine/a metaphor for our decaying society which we are doing nothing to stop.
I fucking love this duel meaning shit.
